What in some papers of the seventeenth century is known as "Valley
Pedenosso", named after a charming village that still exists, knows
how to show in all its refinement thanks to the green that characterizes
it. Valdidentro, two steps from Bormio, is a town made up of several towns,
each with a special feature: they share the view of the wonderful Val
Viola, just look up to the west.
From Premadio climb to reach the historic Old Baths and up to the new
bathrooms;
the aforementioned Pedenosso country is at the foot of the Mount of Scale;
modern Isolaccia with meadows and forests, offers the possibility to ski
through modern lifts Semogo the foot of Cima Piazzi, seems almost lost
in time in a size that still knows how to give the atmosphere of authentic
mountain living, between the Val Viola and the valley of Foscagno, which
leads to the homonymous pass and then in Livigno.
The magic that emanates the stream Viola, accompanying Valdidentro throughout
its length, wind, and seems to invite the rediscovery of a history that
has left its traces.
The various churches throughout the area, are full of treasures, like
the memories of the times of war revived with the barracks Mount Scale,
First World War.
Built to grow under the homonymous mountain, inside a tunnel with two
dusty hut door to the north of the ridge, where it comes out to 2420 meters
altitude.
Precious Towers Fraele that much earlier, in '300, together with the Serre
dei Bagni Vecchi and
Serravalle, served as the defensive system of the county of Bormio.
Forests of fir and larch also characterize Mount Masuccoo, intoxicating
in its simplicity and mountain beauty.
